When you build a house, you must first develop a solid foundation. This ensures that anything built on top of that foundation will be stable and long-lasting. In this sense, your body is like a house- you must build a good foundation of fitness before you can think of designing an effective program to help you reach your goals.
Foundations will teach you the basic movements that you will need to master before you can move into our Drakefit circuits or semi-private personal training. It is essential that you learn these movements correctly so that you can advance to more challenging programming in the future.
Foundations is not just for beginners! We have "retrained" countless clients on simple moves like push-ups, squats and lunges. Simple fact- if you are doing it right, you are going to see the results that you desire.
If you are worried that you won't be able to keep up in a class with people who have been working out, don't be. Every single exercise at Drake Fitness will challenge your functional strength regardless of whether you are a seasoned athlete or have never worked out. Each movement has a progression focusing on building stability, functional strength, and power.

Drake Fitness is excited to announce our new Indoor Boot camp. It seems so new, yet this type of fitness has been around for over 150 years. How do we explain it? Many people strength train with weights while others do cardio or aerobics - somewhere between is our Indoor Boot camp. Get the benefits of both. Your body will get stronger, your cardiovascular fitness will improve, and you will burn calories and see your body change like never before.
It's been on every major news station and some aspects are being used by several major league sports teams. Hollywood stars are also using this type of program to get in "movie star shape.
This new concept is set up in group class with certified instructors using tools including kettle bells, suspension tools, medicine balls, ropes, and your own bodyweight. Circuit training is a great way to shake things up and give you a full body workout, burn a ton of calories, and get your metabolism going. Athletic Training - Strength/Speed & Agility $25 per session. (3 sessions/week is recommended)
Our Athletic Training is for all kinds of athletes both male and female. We'll be working on foot speed and quickness, first step explosiveness, straight ahead speed, lateral quickness, proper running form and increasing power for specific sports. Athletes will run more efficient by learning how to run and be quicker off their first step. They will also train to be able to change direction faster than they ever have before. All of these attributes plays a huge role in any and all sports. Programs are developed by owner Kevin Drake, 4 year NFL vet.
Personal Training
Based on your evaluation, we will design a program for you. During your training sessions, you will meet with one of our certified trainers in a private/semi-private format. In this personalized setting, you will be exposed to in-depth instruction while focusing on your specific goals.
