Group Classes

DrakeFit classes are intended to help you get in to shape or take you further down your fitness road than you are now. The classes, taught by our training staff, are for ALL fitness levels and ALL body types. They are very energetic and FUN. During the classes we will target the entire body from head to toe. Each trainer adds his own twist to their respective class but the concept is the same for each class, maximum caloric burn! Classes are cardio oriented and will include, but certainly not limited to, body weight exercises, kettlebell exercises, free weight movements and plenty of plyometrics. All we as trainers are trying to do is put together the ultimate fat burning, cardio driven workout for each participant that takes the class. The class is individualized for everyone. Each person is capable of moving at their own pace and not the pace of the best or worst shaped participant. These classes are for the old and young alike.

Stretch and Flex
This 45 min class is designed to help increase the strength of your core, flexibility, and balance using methods such as basic pilates, yoga, and others. Most of the class we will be on the floor, so please bring a mat if you have one, or we will provide you with one.

Drake Fitness is excited to announce our DrakeFit Bootcamp. It seems so new, yet this type of fitness has been around for over 150 years. How do we explain it? Many people strength train with weights while others do cardio or aerobics - somewhere between is our Indoor Bootcamp, the new concept offered at Drake Fitness. Get the benefits of both. Your body will get stronger, your cardiovascular fitness will improve, and you will burn calories and see your body change like never before. It's been on every major news station and some aspects are being used by several major league sports teams. Hollywood stars such as Mathew McConaughey, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Cattrall are using this type of program to get in "movie star shape". Even one of the most popular soap opera stars in the world, Beth Chamberlin, changed her body, her career, and is now teaching other women the power of fitness with her own workout video based on a similar training system. This new concept is set up in group class with certified instructors using tools including kettlebells, suspension tools, medicine balls, ropes, and your own bodyweight. Circuit training is a great way to shake things up and give you a full body workout, burn a ton of calories, and get your metabolism going. This is THE most effective workout for burning stubborn fat! There is absolutely no way to describe this workout without inviting you to try it. DrakeFit Foundations
Do you want to learn once and for all the most effective way to exercise? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Drake Fitness has the answer for you. When you build a house, you must first develop a solid foundation. This ensures that anything built on top of that foundation will be stable and long-lasting. In this sense, your body is like a house- you must build a good foundation of fitness before you can think of designing an effective program to help you reach your goals. Foundations will teach you the basic movements that you will need to master before you can move into our DrakeFIt Bootcamps. It is essential that you learn these movements correctly so that you can advance to more challenging programming in the future. Foundations is not just for beginners! We have "retrained" countless clients on simple moves like push-ups, squats and lunges. Simple fact- if you are doing it right, you are going to see the results that you desire. If you are worried that you won't be able to keep up in a class with people who have been working out, don't be. Every single exercise at Drake Fitness will challenge your functional strength regardless of whether you are a seasoned athlete or have never worked out. Each movement has a progression focusing on building stability, functional strength, and power. Drake Fitness is a fun place to be where making new friends is easy, social interaction is normal, and the environment is healthy. The positive atmosphere will make you forget you are working out!

Kids Summer Conditioning Camp or Sports Speed Program
Our Summer Conditioning Camp is for all kids! Male or Female, Athlete or Non-athlete. Our camp is intended to help parents get their kids off the couch for the summer and get the exercise they so desperately need. Kids don't get enough exercise through the school year much less the summer when there's no one watching them or making them get off the video games and get outside moving around the neighborhood. At Drake Fitness we'll give you a safe, encouraging environment to bring your kids for outdoor running. We will do several different types of training including but not limited to: small 6" hurdles drills, cone drills, 10yd agility ladder and several more fun and interesting drills. We're looking to help kids get in shape so they can live a better more healthy life.

Our Sports Speed Program is for all kinds of athletes both male and female. We'll be working on foot speed and quickness, first step explosiveness, straight ahead speed, starts on 40's, and proper running form. Athletes will run more efficient by learning how to run and be quicker off their first step and will be able to change direction faster than they ever have before. All of these attributes plays a huge role in any and all sports. Programs are developed by owner Kevin Drake, 4 year NFL vet.
