Being an example comes with a lot of responsibilities. We have a choice as to what kind of example we want to be, good or bad. Regardless as to who we target our example at, we should strive to make those around us better. Life is full of simple choices that we make everyday. You can watch a 17 yr old kickin’ her own butt in the gym and choose to let her out work you or join in on the fun of becoming better. You don’t have to play sports to train like an athlete. But to look at a 17 yr old athlete and see how incredible it must be to look and work that hard has to be motivating within itself.
Everyday I get the chance to train Sidney Smith, a 17 yr old female athlete, from Vestavia High School. To watch her work and push herself makes me tired! But she’s a challenge for me every time I train her. She challenges me to put together a workout worthy of her time and energy. No doubt that people in the gym, that are working out at the same time she is, are shown an outstanding example of how to put your time in at the gym.
Big ups to Sid for bringing it every time she hits the weight room. Have a “Give it All Day” everyday.
